Summary
This position will manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable vendor, manage the general accounting closing process, interface with sales for forecasting, resolve customer and supplier accounting issue, prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the financial operations of Omni GSS Import and Export. * Responsible for assisting the Senior Finance Manager with the monitoring of revenue and expense budgets. * Prepare all Month End closing procedures, reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and prepare all of our month end financial reports for review by Senior Finance Manager / Controller closing due day of each month. * Provide full and accurate preparation of quarterly & year-end financial information to Senior Finance Manager / Controller Omni GSS Import and Export on a timely basis in order to allow for review prior to closing the books * Assist Senior Finance Manager with work requested from outside auditors to provide all information to resolve their questions. * Manage the daily accounting activity and identify and resolve problems. * Responsible to maintain all Daymon internal controls and policies. * Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities **Other Responsibilities:** Position may be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate
**Experience Required** * Bachelors Degree is required; in Accounting or Finance ( CPA preferred but not required ) * 5 – 8 Years of prior work experience supervising complex accounting transactions and experience supervising across departmental processes is required. Import/Export industry experience is preferred. * Ability to relate accounting processes to workflow of different automated ERP systems **Functional Knowledge and Business Expertise Required** * Ability to contribute to both top and bottom line and help to achieve all targets/budgets * Ability to manage and develop talent, with positive willingness to mentor associates * Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office: WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS and OUTLOOK * Must be capable of learning and utilizing various ERP systems and processes
