Responsibilities
- Develop strategies in conjunction with cross-functional digital team and define customized SEO and social strategies to meet clients’ unique needs - Conduct audits of client’s existing SEO and social activities and develop goals, recommendations, strategies and tactics based on audit findings - Identify target keywords and provide on-page and off-page recommendations for SEO coding, structure, content, social and linking best practices. - Track and report on the success of the engagement, providing monthly optimization recommendations - Plan, execute and manage digital content strategies by working alongside editorial team to develop content that is highly optimized across multiple digital and social channels - In conjunction with analytics team, analyze and translate data from tools into actionable SEO and content optimization plans - Provide strategic counsel to clients in challenging social media issues and crisis situations - Lead social media crisis simulation programs in collaboration with the crisis and global digital and creative communications teams - Create and present strategic recommendations to internal and external stakeholders - Participate in client meetings, creative brainstorms, new business and agency and digital team development - Conduct needs assessment; Provide counsel to internal and external stakeholders on proactive/responsive digital and social media programs around engagement and/or crisis management - Take broad concepts and strategy and translate them into meaningful, actionable operating plans for internal and external stakeholders - Provide insight on emerging digital and social media trends and best practices and maintain understanding of trends impacting specific industries and sectors - Understand client business goals and develop digital and social media solutions that shape the client’s reputation online - Identify ways to measure success against the campaign goals and achievable outcomes; determine methods to collect and present data and analysis to clients as well as internal stakeholders. - Guide, mentor, and motivate staff. - Play a key role in new business pitch development initiatives - Create client-ready deliverables in a timely and efficient manner - Effectively translate data findings into insights that can be easily understood by clients - Provide strong project management - Identify resource needs and work with managers to assign individual responsibilities - Support billing procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client invoices - Maintain solid relationships with clients - Work with managers to help clients assess their program needs - Actively participate in the generation of Strategic Communications new business proposals and presentations - Consistently seek ways to improve client service - Support the development, production and marketing of thought leadership surrounding emerging trends and issues
Ideal Candidate
- 5-8 years of experience leading SEO programs, content marketing and optimization - Bachelors Degree - Technical understanding of SEO best practices, experience working with SEO analytics applications and tools - Familiarity with crisis management content development protocol - Understanding of relevant platforms catering to specific industries, niche and B2B audiences and communications best practices within highly regulated industries - Outstanding communications skills, including ability to successfully present program recommendations and establish internal and external relationships as a trusted advisor - Possess strong execution and management skills and deliver complex programs in a timely manner - Understand best practices around paid, earned, owned and shared media - Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills (including PowerPoint) - Be active and passionate about digital culture and the evolving analytics space - Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-oriented dynamic environment with regular change
