Responsibilities
* Responsible for preparing documentation requested by nationally recognized credit rating agencies ie; A.M. Best, Standard & Poor's and Fitch. * Preparation of documentation requested by rating agencies consisting of financial, underwriting, investment as well as additional areas of the company. * Adhoc reporting related to employee benefit plans and miscellaneous functions. * Analytics and administration in connection with the company automobile plans.
Ideal Candidate
* Advanced knowledge of general accounting principles and practices * Strong data/analytical capabilities- fact gathering; analytical techniques; hypothesis generation. * Strong communication skills; oral/written and visual/graphic. * Strong presentation skills; overall packaging of materials. * Ability to facilitate meetings; strong active listening skills. * Ability and confidence to interact with high level management across various departments. * Demonstrated project management skills; ability to multi-task * Ability to work in a dynamic, non-routine environment * Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment with limited supervision * CPA or equivalent professional designation, or working toward designation preferred. * Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills. * Knowledge of MS Access a plus. * Proficiency with financial systems and standard software applications (PeopleSoft; Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
