Senior Financial Controller

Freddie Mac’s Finance Division is currently seeking a Financial Controller Senior Analyst to be a member of the Single Family (SF) Reporting and Risk and Control team. The SF Reporting Group is responsible for the preparation and analysis of the SF Segment Results for SF consolidated financial reporting package, business performance review (BPR) and other internal /external reporting.

* Preparing certain slides within the SF consolidated financial reporting package * Preparing reports in support of 10Q/ 10K disclosures * Assisting with the preparation of Segment Business Performance Review slides * Helping with ad hoc reporting, external and internal reporting * Providing timely, accurate and reliable financial information * Running SAS programs and SQL queries for book year reporting process for internal reporting * Assist and support ongoing SOX compliance activities * Assist with regulatory reporting work or Risks and Controls, as needed

* At least 5 years of financial reporting or financial analytics experience * Previous accounting experience and / or knowledge in GAAP * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field. * Strong analytical and quantitative skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word **Preferred Skills** * CPA certification or candidate preferred * Proficiency in writing queries in SQL and/or SAS * Ability to adapt to changing priorities in support of team needs; flexible * Knowledge of Single Family data and the Corporate Data Warehouse * PeopleSoft financials, nVision * Maintaining a positive, can-do attitude in the face of adversity * Working independently under limited direction and taking initiative
