Responsibilities
The Financial Accounting Advisory Senior Analyst will serve as a member of the Functional Team and will support the client's audit readiness goals, including internal controls and substantive testing and performing audit response procedures. The team member will be required to gain a working knowledge of federal financial reporting, federal business processes, government property management, internal controls and OMB A-123, and financial management systems in support of our clients' efforts to produce auditable financial statements.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * US Citizen * Bachelor’s Degree * Minimum of 2 years of experience in one of more of the following capabilities: Financial Management, Auditing/Internal Control testing, Financial Reporting, Change Management, and Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) * Minimum of 1 year of experience of Federal business processes to support internal audit testing and business process standardization that spans across multiple business segments and functions **Preferred Qualifications:** * Audit & Accounting Experience. * Experience performing internal controls and substantive testing. * Extensive audit experience not necessary, but resource should have experience performing basic audit procedures (i.e. test plan creation, documentation of findings) * Good understanding of basic accounting principles and terminology. * Knowledge of A-123 documentation, testing, and reporting requirements. * Experience with DoD FIAR activities including business process improvement, corrective action plan implementations and testing of general ledger transactions. * Experience of one or more of the following: GAAP, GAGAS, FAM, OMB A-136 * Experience with MS Office applications (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) * Demonstrated ability to interact with clients and users around specific work efforts and deliverables and effectively communicate with the client on a daily basis * Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian * Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian * Any of the following: CPA, CDFM, CGFM, CIA * Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian * Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
