The Pricing Manager will support the building of a strategic Pricing function at Epsilon. Reporting to the Director of Pricing, the candidate will be accountable for supporting key aspects of the new Pricing function
- Supporting all Pricing models and ensure they are fully robust with an accurate representation of profitability (e.g. costs, pricing rates, P&L calculations)
- Developing target pricing rates and margins
- Modeling future impact of changes to pricing levels, pricing models, and packaging structures
- Conducting external competitive pricing and offering analysis
- Supporting key strategic pricing initiatives aimed at improving Epsilon’s growth and profitability
- Establishing relationships with and supporting internal customer needs for changes to, and information from, pricing and costing models
- Enhancing and extracting value from Epsilon’s current pricing processes and tools
- Developing new pricing tools and associated processes
- Developing pricing strategy to support negotiations for selected accounts
- Providing analysis to evaluate the implementation of pricing software and workflow technology to streamline Epsilon’s processes
- Supporting the pricing approval process
The ideal candidate will have experience developing pricing models, implementing and managing pricing processes, performing financial analysis of costs and prices, performing competitive analysis of pricing and offerings, excellent modeling skills using Excel, the ability to see the big picture, and the desire to have a major impact on business growth and profitability. Prior experience with pricing software and automation is a plus.
- BA in quantitative major (mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, business); MBA preferred
- 7+ years of work experience
- Experience managing pricing processes that involve cross-functional partners
- Experience working with various levels of the organization including leadership, peers, and junior team members
- Experience developing pricing models and pricing strategy in a professional services or software business
- Experience performing competitive pricing analysis to understand market position
- Experience supporting business decisions with business cases and analysis
- Expertise building models in Excel
- Experience developing PowerPoint presentations to present business cases
- Experience with statistical and/or predictive analysis with real world impact
- Experience working with databases and information systems
- An ideal candidate would have some project management experience
