Summary
Eberl Claims Service is seeking to hire an Accounts Receivable Processor in the Accounting and Finance department. Responsible for processing payments and prepaying adjusters. Also responsible for maintaining numbers spreadsheets and collecting past due invoices. Interacts regularly with staff and management to address AR needs. Is often responsible for confidential and time-sensitive information.
Responsibilities
* Daily Tasks * Process the payments that come in. Match them to the deposit reports. Electronically scan stubs and batch control reports * Research any payment discrepancies and call clients/managers/adjusters to resolve * Update various spreadsheets with accounting data * Write up credit paperwork for adjusters and managers * Assist with billing questions * Weekly Tasks * Contact clients and/or field managers when invoices become past due * Write up paperwork for refunds and mail them * Bulk bill clients * Collect and verify manager timecards for payroll and resolve discrepancies * Prepay daily rate and per file invoices; resolve missing/incorrect daily rate invoices * Monthly Tasks * Review the deposit log and make sure there are no outstanding issues * Bulk bill selected client invoices twice monthly * Special projects and miscellaneous responsibilities such as Microsoft Dynamics and company website testing, providing back up coverage for team, assisting with audits, collecting deposition paperwork, and ensuring adjusters are paid.
Ideal Candidate
* Associates degree in business administration or accounting. * Two years accounting experience preferred. * Working knowledge of general accounting concepts with emphasis on general ledger, credits, and debits. * Intermediate level Excel skills required. * Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Word, Outlook, and Excel. * Ability to conduct internet searches and prepare professional business communications. * Demonstrates teamwork, compassion, and respect toward others, as well as integrity, accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct, open and honest communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
