Summary
The Real Estate Development Associate will provide support to the Encore Development in all functions of project site selection, entitlement, permitting, acquisition and management. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can manage multiple assignments and a variety of project tasks on a timely basis. The preferred person for this role will proactively work with team members to determine what assistance is needed and prioritize their work.
Responsibilities
* Provide complex administrative and/or project support to the department heads, managers and/or staff members * Coordinate acquisition, construction, leasing and development tasks and due diligence * Track and maintain contract and lease performance dates, obligations and notices * Maintain development, construction and leasing progress and delivery spreadsheets * Follow up Builders and Landlords on delivery dates after Contract execution * Assist in turn over from construction to operations * Initiate Rent and CAM payments with Accounting after Lease Execution and Rent Commencement * Collect market information for new acquisition and lease opportunities via web search * Prepare and maintain status reports for active and pipeline projects * Assist in conducting, compiling, and presenting marketing analyses; compile and analyze data and put in presentable form * Maintain internal marketing database; and interact with brokers, consultants and management * Coordinate execution of estoppels, amendments, and lease renewals * Track information and coordinate flow to insure deadlines are met and tasks completed * Manage comprehensive tracking and reporting of project data for acquisitions, leasing, budgeting, and construction within company Document Portal. * Internet Research for new lease and land acquisition opportunities * Research and collect information needed to complete project tasks or reports * Assist with site package presentations, submissions and reports as needed * Monitor outstanding proposals and offers * Assists on special projects by performing and coordinating appropriate tasks in a timely manner
Ideal Candidate
* 4-year college degree with land development and / or restaurant-retail lease experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to interact with people within the company and with vendors, consultants, contractors, etc * Experience managing multiple projects successfully through ongoing changing priorities * Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work well under pressure * Solid organizational, research and analytical skills * Adept in MS office suite, including Excel, Word and Power Point * Exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence
