The Junior Accountant will, as a direct report to the Senior Accounting Manager, provide support to department activities with specific responsibility for the processing , recording, and reconciling of information with established policies; providing instructions, recommendations and/or accounting support to other personnel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare, record, and process accounts payable and cash disbursements.
- Prepare, record, and process accounts receivable, cash receipts, and invoicing.
- Collect and review monthly credit card reconciliation to ensure compliance with LFA corporate policy.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, recurring journal entries, accounting schedules such as travel advance, other receivable accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with the year-end financial audit, review of 1099 verifications, year-end preparation work, and maintain vendor W-9 file.
- Perform other accounting, clerical/administrative tasks as necessary.
- Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience
- At least two years of related experience in an automated accounts payable/accounts receivable environment
- Detailed oriented with good communication, organization, analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation application required (MS Office required.)
