Responsibilities
* Develop and execute marketing plans to support the GIF Program including sales promotion, advertising, brochures, website, public relations, community relations and government relations; manage and launch programs, events and initiatives * Responsible for achieving target of 25000 Program participants by March 31st 2019 * Work to develop relationships with key stakeholders/customers such as municipalities, energy service companies, LDC’s, IESO, Manufacturers/Distributors and associations in order to promote the GIF Program and services; * Direct and advise on appropriate program delivery channels and facilitate the delivery of programs through strategic industry relationships * Work directly with stakeholders and vendors to develop and implement marketing and communication plans to educate residential customers about GIF and drive participation in energy efficient programs * Design, coordinate and manage production of marketing material including electronic communications i.e. website. Use best practices and knowledge to review materials for consistency with brand and identity guidelines * Work with other areas of the business to ensure marketing activities are aligned. (DSM, Communications, Community Expansion, etc.). Working with DSM group to ensure coordination and alignment of messaging between existing energy efficiency programs and overall effectiveness of external outreach * Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Program status reports as per the MOE guidelines * Identify target markets and develop marketing tactics for each market segment including franchise and non-franchise customers * Facilitate, track and manage marketing campaigns, launches and open houses * Help define product/service offerings – value proposition, program characteristics, description, etc. * Communicate and liaise with Program Managers and various stakeholders to determine marketing materials, and promotional needs to support the Program * Keep current with trends and innovations in energy efficiency programs and keep abreast of such activities of companies similar to ours * Continuously evaluate the results of active campaigns and adjust strategies to achieve targets
Ideal Candidate
* University degree in business/marketing with seven or more years related industry experience * Core marketing and advertising skills (research, written communications) * Understanding of energy optimization programs and experience in the energy sector * Strong interpersonal, negotiating and customer focus competencies * Excellent communication and change management skills * Ability to communicate with all levels both internal and external including senior management, government agencies, regulators, energy service companies, vendors and other key stakeholders * Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and to manage multiples projects, deadlines, and priorities * Ability to translate complex concepts into easy to understand for target audiences * Creative thinker with a positive attitude who enjoys challenges and finding solutions
