Summary
The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for raising assets in a wholesaler-to-wholesaler capacity, of ALPS Variable Insurance Trust (VIT) and sub-advised products in the Eastern Region. He/she will work with our insurance and retirement plan partners to market, sell and educate them on our private equity, energy infrastructure, asset allocation and tactical portfolios.
Responsibilities
* Grow Assets Under Management (AUM) * Develop, build and maintain relationships with external client wholesalers to support their sales of variable insurance and retirement products * Represent ALPS at various industry events * Present presentations to a variety of audiences including large groups and individuals * Track all meetings and sales events through Salesforce.com * Strong knowledge of ALPS portfolios and competitor’s products * Develop sales ideas * Interact and coordinate with other divisions at ALPS * Other duties as assigned based on territory needs
Ideal Candidate
* Strong interpersonal skills * Public speaking/presentation skills * Capital markets expertise * Knowledge of mutual funds and variable insurance products * Effective presentation skills, both one-on-one and group settings * Ability to work independently as well as being part of a team * Strong time management and organizational skills **Requirements** * 5+ years’ experience in financial services and sales * Series 7 and 63 licenses * Ability to travel 70-80% of the time * Bachelor’s Degree * Knowledge and understanding of wholesaling in an internal or external (preferred) capacity
