Senior Sales Executive

The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for raising assets in a wholesaler-to-wholesaler capacity, of ALPS Variable Insurance Trust (VIT) and sub-advised products in the Eastern Region. He/she will work with our insurance and retirement plan partners to market, sell and educate them on our private equity, energy infrastructure, asset allocation and tactical portfolios.
- Grow Assets Under Management (AUM)
- Develop, build and maintain relationships with external client wholesalers to support their sales of variable insurance and retirement products
- Represent ALPS at various industry events
- Present presentations to a variety of audiences including large groups and individuals
- Track all meetings and sales events through Salesforce.com
- Strong knowledge of ALPS portfolios and competitor’s products
- Develop sales ideas
- Interact and coordinate with other divisions at ALPS
- Other duties as assigned based on territory needs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Public speaking/presentation skills
- Capital markets expertise
- Knowledge of mutual funds and variable insurance products
- Effective presentation skills, both one-on-one and group settings
- Ability to work independently as well as being part of a team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in financial services and sales
- Series 7 and 63 licenses
- Ability to travel 70-80% of the time
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge and understanding of wholesaling in an internal or external (preferred) capacity
