Summary
The Model Risk Auditor would audit areas within the State Street Global Markets Business Unit, which would include auditing business operations like: Enterprise Risk Management, Basel III, Asset Liability Management, CCAR, Treasury and other regulatory areas as needed.
Responsibilities
* The Model Risk Auditor would perform audits and control consulting engagements pertaining to models to evaluate business processes, business controls, risk assessments and operating practices globally. * The Model Risk Auditor would have experience with modeling, modeling technics, model development and model validation. * The Model Risk Auditor will have demonstrated knowledge of financial and operational internal control methodologies and terminologies (e.g. COSO); process and control industry standards; risk management practices and techniques; and internal audit process, technology and tools for planning, design, performance, testing and reporting. * The candidate should clearly demonstrate proficiency in evaluating and testing internal controls and in applying risk based audit skills to business units globally. * The Model Risk Auditor ensures that audits are completed in compliance with the Corporate Audit Department and Institute of Internal Auditor standards. * The candidate requires good analytical, interpersonal, time management, project management, research and communications skills. * The Model Risk Auditor will stay abreast of changes in US model risk regulatory guidelines and assess adequacy of actions taken by institution in order to comply with regulations.
Ideal Candidate
* The Model Risk Auditor would have experience with modeling, modeling technics, model development and model validation * Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Mathematics, Financial Engineering. Quantitative Finance and related area. A Master’s degree would be a plus. * Industry experience in Financial Services, Public Accounting and Consulting with a background in consulting services, advisory services, external audit, internal audit, risk management or modeling. * The candidate may have at least five years of experience in Public Accounting, Advisory Services, Consulting, Internal Audit, or a modeling area. * The candidate maybe a FRM, CFA, CPA,CISA * Knowledge of financial products in the banking industry. * Knowledge of programming and statistical tools like Excel/Visual Basic, , Visio, Access, SQL, Stata, SAS, VBA etc. * Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with the different stakeholders and regulators * Ability to work independently and under pressure, and comfortably liaise with other areas * Willingness to adapt to new situations, and learn new concepts and approaches
