Summary
At DISH we are making the move to be a truly integrated Support Desk. Our traditional IT Service Desk will be intertwined with our Mobility team allowing our technicians to learn and develop each other on a daily basis. Troubleshooting is as much a part of our individual contributor responsibilities as is working as a team when escalation is necessary. With both teams sharing the same space we're able to collaborate and build professional relationships to help our technicians take their careers to the next level.
Responsibilities
* Respond to technical issues as they arise by documenting incident details, responding to requests, initiating customer contact, escalating to appropriate parties, and resolving incidents. * Provide continuous status information in a professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction. * Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voicemail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. * Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel. * Work as a team player with individuals from all departments. * Mobility and Android experience a plus.
Ideal Candidate
* Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to work nights, weekends, and shift work in an IT call center environment. * Ability to quickly interpret, diagnose, and respond to problems within a highly-dynamic technical environment; detail-oriented and strong customer service skills; excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills; self-driven with a desire to implement creative solutions for complex problems. * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written or oral form. * Proven background in the IT industry or related field; ability to perform basic computations and to draw and interpret bar graphs. * Demonstrated ability to solve practical, common sense and IT related problems.
