Summary
Assist Payroll Manager in ensuring time cards are complete and signed off by employees and supervisors. Also assist in answering payroll questions and providing support to associates by resolving individual payroll issues.
Responsibilities
* Assist with Workers Comp, Payroll, 401k and State audits. Verify and audit hours worked for associates for accuracy; contact appropriate supervisor regarding discrepancies and missing information * Be the liaison between ADP and state agencies regarding multiple tax registrations. * Maintain payroll information, files and records to provide an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance * Research discrepancies of payroll data such as time sheets, leave time, direct deposit requirements, benefit eligibility to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing * Attend various seminars and workshops to gain and review labor law, government requirements, payroll regulations * Handle state, local and tax registrations with minimal supervision * Performs other related duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Work Experience/Education Required:** * Must have 5+ years of related Payroll experience in a high-volume fast-paced team work environment * Bachelor's degree preferred * Exposure to Federal, State and local employment laws a plus but not required **Functional Knowledge and Business Expertise Required:** * Exposure to a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows like interface, intermediate level of office suite such as Outlook, Word, and Excel * Ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems **Attributes/Competencies:** * Technical Capacity * Math Skills * Communication Proficiency * Analytical Skills * Priority Setting * Accountability * Time Management/Organizational Skills * Detail-Oriented * Ethical Conduct
