Summary
As the Junior Recruiter, your primary responsibility will be to post open job openings, review and assess applicants fit based upon required core competencies, source applicants via social media venues and other various job boards, conduct phone interviews, and refer applicants to the Hiring Manager to make hiring decisions. Other duties will include developing effective recruiting strategies to reduce time-to-fill, building and maintaining relationships with Hiring Managers, maintaining up-to-date recruiting best practices, and other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities
* Create a recruiting experience that delivers Cycle Gear’s employment brand, connecting the right people to the right roles within the organization. * Conduct preliminary review of applicant resumes or employment applications to determine if applicant's experiences and skills meet the position requirements. * Manage general recruitment functions, including sourcing, scheduling and conducting primary phone screens, and advising with hiring managers on hiring decisions. * Partner with hiring managers to assess needs and develop sourcing strategies to ensure staffing needs are met. * Maintain and create attractive job postings to build a continuous pipeline of qualified applicants through various job boards, events, and/or social media. * Attend career fairs and other recruiting/company events as needed. * Act as the Senior Recruiter's right hand person in the execution of interviews, strategic employer branding, and reporting analysis. * Maintain a constant and steady focus on the local marketplaces to determine and develop effective recruiting strategies. * Manage, maintain, and develop Taleo ATS backend system. * Assist Human Resources Team with other duties as needed. * Represent the company in a highly professional manner to all applicants and Cycle Gear Team Members.
Ideal Candidate
* 1 - 3 years of high-volume recruiting experience is required. * Proven track record of successfully recruiting for high-volume retail positions is preferred. * Experience with implementing creative recruiting solutions for business challenges * Strong creative writing and visual presentation skills. * Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (Taleo preferred) * Experience utilizing social media (Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook) for recruiting talent preferred. * Ability to convey Cycle Gear’s values to others in the form of expected integrity and performance. * Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) * Previous applicant resume screening and phone interviews experience in a fast paced environment (agency or corporate) is preferred. * 1+ years of experience in Human Resources for a retail establishment or equivalent is preferred. * Knowledge of Retail store processes, procedures and competencies required for success. * Well versed in the Federal and State statutes pertaining to recruiting and employment, ie: DOL, ADA, EEO, etc. is desired. * Ability to document candidate responses while being an effective listener. * Must possess excellent communication skills and have strong networking and relationship-building skills. * Outgoing, upbeat, positive and passionate about recruiting.
