Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Under the guidance of Marketing Leadership (Associate Director, Director or Senior Director) has responsibility for the strategic and marketing planning process for the assigned brand.

Develops the annual marketing plan based on effective market definition and segmentation.

Gains understanding of relevant customer needs, analyze market data, and identify critical market trends and opportunities.

Develops and executes brand growth strategies and tactics, including programs that target healthcare professionals.

Gains management approval by presenting detailed tactical plans prior to implementation of programs.

Leads tactical implementation, including timelines, creation of promotional materials, and training of internal stakeholders and field based professionals (National Account Managers, Sales Representatives and Medical Science Liaisons).

Assumes overall brand budget accountability. Works with finance and Associate Marketing Director or Marketing Director to monitor spending against budget/forecast. Reports budget results as requested by department management.

Works with internal stakeholders to develop projections for both production and sales forecasts. Accountable for program life-cycle management.

Evaluates effectiveness of strategies and tactics, including development of program success metrics, evaluation criteria, feedback mechanisms and return-on-investment analysis.

Interacts with key internal stakeholders to ensure strategies and tactics are linked to achievement of critical business objectives.

Key internal stakeholders include Medical Affairs, Finance, Global Commercial Development, Regulatory, Sales, Corporate Accounts, Sales Training, and Manufacturing. Ensures that field-based professionals (National Account Managers, Sales Representatives and Medical Science Liaisons) are aligned with brand strategies.

Assists in the development of selection criteria for external agency partners; develops and manages effective agency relationships. Selects vendors for brand programs and projects. Builds effective working relationships with key external customers, including thought leaders.

Participates as an active member of the Therapeutic Area Marketing Team, which is functionally responsible for the overall management and direction of the entire franchise including new pipeline products.

Develops relationships with key external customers (to include Health Care Providers, Channel Partners, and Patient Groups) in order to maintain a thorough understanding of current market conditions.

Effectively manages changes in market conditions related to brand strategy and tactics while communicating potential market impact to Sr. Management.
Qualifications:
Education:
- BS/BA, MBA preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 4-5 years relevant healthcare experience (can include biologics, medical device or pharmaceuticals) in sales, marketing or related experience that should include 2-4 years product management experience.
