Responsibilities
- We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager candidate that has extensive experience in creating go-to-market strategies, creating core content for positioning and messaging to channel partners and end users, and teaming in the management and execution of integrated marketing programs for products in all phases of the Product Lifecycle. - This role will report to the Director of Enterprise Marketing and will be responsible for partnering with Product Management and Corporate and Regional Marketing teams to support revenue plans and international expansion efforts through measureable go-to-market plans, content, and fully integrated marketing programs that drive market awareness and demand. - In addition, he/she will be a key contributor to the new product strategy and bring market intelligence for consideration. - The successful candidate will collaborate across the organization to drive towards aggressive business goals and positions Verisign as a leading technology provider of solutions in the marketplace **Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** - Creates product positioning and messaging that articulates the value proposition and differentiates from competitors and alternatives - Supports development of complete go-to-market plan for products - Determines product growth strategies and drives product growth to reach revenue and market share targets; adjusts strategies accordingly in response to market changes - Drives content marketing focus that leverages market topics to drive product and company thought leadership and demand generation - Partners with Corporate and Regional marketing team to develop comprehensive marketing plans for launching, developing, and extending new features for multiple versions of a product line - Partners with Corporate and Regional Marketing and Account Management teams to support international expansion of existing products, and launch of new products - Partners with Product Management to drive new release planning, including market requirements, business objectives, key success metrics and marketing initiatives - Builds and manages customer satisfaction and input mechanisms and drives insights into product development and marketing strategy - Identifies partnership opportunities to round out Solutions and/or support product promotion - Supports development and enablement of direct and indirect sales channels
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, marketing, communications, or related field 8+ years of experience in marketing (preferably 5+ years in high-tech product marketing) - Experience across all aspects of the marketing mix - Market research, analysis, segmentation experience - Understanding of current internet technologies and security, relevant industry trends and competitive landscape - Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and work with virtual teams is essential - Experience supporting direct and indirect sales and go-to-market strategies - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Proficient with Windows-based office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) - International business experience strongly desired
