Iredell Memorial Hospital is the largest and only non-profit hospital in Iredell County. The comprehensive healthcare facility has 247-beds, approximately 1,600 employees, and 140 physicians representing various specialties.
Responsibilities
The Director of Marketing and Public Relations is responsible for the development of the system’s strategic plan for building and protecting the Iredell Health System brand as it is represented in the marketing, communications and community outreach efforts. In addition, the Director allocates and manages resources to successfully achieve communication objectives and is responsible for managing and enhancing the reputation of the system, within its key communities.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related field required. - Master’s Degree in appropriate discipline preferred. - Five years of experience in corporate communications/marketing/public relations in a corporate or agency environment that includes advertising and promotional development as well as product/service development. - Demonstrated ability and experience in leading and executing marketing strategies and tactics across all disciplines including broadcast, print, digital, social media, direct response marketing, proactive and reactive media relations, crisis communications, and internal communications. - Thorough knowledge and experience in development of strategic communications plans and evaluation techniques specific to the healthcare industry. - Proven experience in dealing with high-level executives and a demonstrated ability to counsel senior management. - Experience managing professional staff and team building. Experience developing and managing comprehensive social media campaigns. - Ability to deal well with competing priorities, heavy workloads and a rapidly changing business and corporate environments. - Strategic thinker/superior verbal and written communicator. - Strong planning, organization and conceptual skills. - Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution and investigative skills.
