Summary
The business development manager will lead the cultivation of relationships and opportunities that align with company initiatives. They will support the continued rapid growth of the Fans 1st Media business by developing large-scale deals with strategic partners. The business development manager will identify potential opportunities and initiate discussions to forge new relationships. They will structure, negotiate and close agreements that expand Fans 1st Media’s reach and drive impactful results.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate strategic opportunities that align with company initiatives and support continued rapid growth of Fans 1st Media business * Identify potential partners, establish new relationships and lead discussions * Source, structure, negotiate and close strategic deals * Collaborate with internal resources and Cox partners to ensure alignment and avoid conflicts * Drive all aspects of deal execution, including overseeing legal review and working with internal teams to implement * Monitor the business impacts of initiatives and work with analysts to quantify results * Manage ongoing health and growth of established partnerships * Follow industry trends to uncover opportunities to expand reach or increase revenue * Analyze research, build models and develop business cases for new ideas * Deliver strategic recommendations to Fans 1st Media leadership * Help develop product and service solutions that meet the needs of partners
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS or equivalent practical experience, MBA preferred * Minimum 5 years of experience working in business development * Familiarity with media industry; experience in digital publishing a plus * Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze and model business cases * Proficiency in negotiating agreements, interpreting legal documents and working with attorneys * Proven record of developing new business partnerships and opportunities * Excellent research, problem solving and analytical skills * Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, in writing or presentations * Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups * Aptitude to be self-motivated, work independently and take initiative * Ability to effectively manage multiple, ongoing projects and adapt to shifting priorities * Aptitude to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with tight deadline
