Summary
As part of the RevenueManagement team, this position is responsible for designing, developing and delivering sales applications and reporting tools to meet the strategic trade management requirements of Customer Teams. This role serves as project manager, functional lead, project team member, and project tester, where appropriate. This position interacts and collaborates heavily with Sales and IT organizations and other support teams through project work and day-to-day production support of trade systems and reporting.
Responsibilities
* Serve as liaison between headquarters, business units and IT to determine the best trade systems solutions needed to serve the business. This includes gathering business requirements, assessing needs, analyzing gaps and alternatives to develop and automate the most effective and efficient solutions. * Engage in multiple tasks while simultaneously supporting production systems and reporting. * Collaborate closely with teams on long-term project initiatives, which may require taking on various roles across multiple work efforts. * Work closely with management to prioritize initiatives, mitigate risk and impacts across the organization. * Professionally drive and challenge teams on needs, assumptions, and expected outcomes through collaboration; working to develop and drive to one consistent process across the organization and minimizing customization. * Integrate acquisitions into current business and system models, developing new capabilities based on business driven decisions * Utilize agreed upon methodology for project planning, execution and implementation by documenting and communicating regularly to team members and internal customers. * Gathering and understanding business requirements * Translating business requirements to functional design * Confirming technical design meets or exceeds customer expectations * Testing and validating end-to-end design internally * Perform user acceptance testing with customer base * Transfer knowledge through training to all impacted parties * Provide ongoing support for project implementation **Supervision:** * As project manager the number of indirect reports varies around 8-10 people in addition to User Acceptance Testing which usually requires an additional 8-10 people across all the field sales teams.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Two + years business experience in CPG industry with work history consisting of business process design, project experience or analytics * Education: * Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in business or MIS preferred **Technical Skills or Experience:** * Demonstrates basic knowledge of SAP R3 master data: customer, products in addition to hierarchical structures such as: customer, product and sales hierarchies to assist with the structural and security set up for trade planning. * Demonstrates basic understanding of the application of pricing and spending along with condition records with SAP R3 to assure the customer invoicing and financial processes correctly affected. * Demonstrates understanding of trade planning (i.e., account and new distribution) utilizing SAP CRM/TPM/TM/NDF to assist field sales and support teams with the development and execution of plans. * Strong Excel skills required in order to utilize front-end tools developed for trade management (i.e., TM, NDF, and Allocation Tool). * Proficient skills using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to provide clearly understood visual aids and communications regarding project designs. * Strong knowledge of project management along with following core competencies: * Integration - coordinates project planning, execution and change control * Scope – determine required work and control scope changes * Time Management – ensure project is delivered on time and within schedule * Quality Management – ensure project satisfies requirements and approved scope changes * Risk Management – assess and mitigate risk, escalate uncontrollable issues **General Skills or Experience:** * Quantity of Work: Produces an appropriate level of work without getting engaged in unnecessary detail; able to manage multiple projects; able to determine project urgency in a meaningful and practical way; organizes and schedules people and tasks based on project timeline. * Communication: Strong inter-personal skills; writes and speaks effectively to function and aligning to the situation, collaboratively and effectively with internal customers and management; states own opinions clearly and concisely demonstrating openness and honesty, explains reasoning behind own opinions; listens well during meetings and feedback sessions, asking for opinions and feedback of others; asks questions to ensure understanding; exercises a professional approach to communication; uses consideration and tact when offering opinions. * Customer Service: Listens and responds effectively to customer questions; resolves customer problems following up to evaluate customer satisfaction; respects all internal and cross-functional customers; commits to exceeding customer expectations. * Problem Solving: Anticipates problems; sees how problem and solution affect other business units; gathers information before making decisions; weighs alternatives in conjunction with objectives and arrives at reasonable decisions; adapts to changing priorities, deadlines and directions; works to eliminate all processes which do not add value and simplifies outcomes; is willing to take action, even under pressure, criticism or tight deadlines; takes informed risks; recognizes and accurately evaluates the signs of a problem; notifies supervisor of problems in a timely manner. * Attention to Detail: Follows detailed procedures and ensures accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitors work in progress; does not negate routine work details; organizes and maintains a system of records to fulfill audit requirements. * Flexibility: Remains open-minded and changes opinions based on factual input or new information; performs wide variety of tasks and changes focus quickly if demand changes; manages transition from task to task effectively. * Organization: Able to manage multiple projects; able to determine project urgency; uses goals to guide actions; creates detailed action plans; organizes project work and schedules people and tasks effectively. * Development: Works to improve the performance of oneself and others by pursuing opportunities for continuous learning/feedback; exhibits a “can-do” approach and inspires associates to excel; develops a team spirit. * Quality Control: Maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines; does work right the first time and inspects work for flaws; tests new methods thoroughly; considers excellence a priority. * Innovation: Able to challenge current practices; adapts established methods for new uses; pursues ongoing system improvement; creates new solutions.
