Kforce has a fulltime role for a Windows DevOps Engineer to work for a rapidly growing company in the healthcare industry out of San Diego, California (CA). The ideal candidate we are seeking is a talented and highly motivated individual to join the engineering team. The client is looking for someone that likes working on N-Tier Architecture solutions, is customer-centric, and feels strongly not only about delivering quality product / services but about making the solution achieve its goals in operational reality.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of the company products
- Improve internal service delivery and support processes, and promotes knowledge sharing in the team by contributing to the knowledge base
- Deploy and maintain development, QA and production infrastructure
- Work with cross-functional teams to design an end-to-end Continuous Delivery system for the company products
- Collaborate with the support organization to analyze, troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve complex customer-reported problems for deployed infrastructure
- Work closely with the company's HW / SW Engineering teams and support organization to resolve complex issues, provide technical action plans, or take ownership of the most difficult cases
- Demonstrate considerable judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Develop comprehensive and reusable solutions for future incidents
- Qualified candidates must be presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this company does not sponsor or transfer H1-visa individuals
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Expert understanding of .Net Framework, WCF Services and Service Oriented Architecture.
- Experienced in N-Tier and Object-Oriented application architecture, design and implementation.
- Previous experience deploying and utilizing configuration management, orchestration, or automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack, or Buildmaster
- Expertise in supporting and managing Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Experience with Continuous Integration / MSBuild and Cloud (AWS preferred) deployment
- Experience in database design and database programming (stored procedures, triggers, views, etc)
- Extensive experience supporting and documenting web-based applications built on IIS and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2012
- Solid understanding of Powershell scripting, desired state configurations, and virtualization automation
- Strong knowledge in writing automated test scripts and integrating with open source tools
- Strong understanding of networking at a technical level, including but not limited to DNS, routing, security, etc
