Responsibilities
* Develops and implements the companywide fleet strategic objectives and goals to meet corporate objectives and drive profitability. * Prepares and executes annual operating plan and capital requirements. * Acts as a strategic business partner that drives effective relationships with internal business leaders to meet strategic objectives; provide financial and technical support. * Oversees and directs all functions that fall within scope of the Department of Transportation (DOT). * Oversees and manages the processes for fleet selection, specification and design, acquisitions, and remarketing. * Oversees and guides best practices for companywide fleet expenses, by monitoring life cycle cost, industry trends and key performance indicators. * Implements and leads continuous improvements with processes and activities that drives profitability. * Effective networking with trade partners that provide value added solutions. * Provides leadership, development and support to team members and subordinates. * Performs other duties as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four year college or university and 5 years experience managing fleet; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL license required. * Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations including Department of Transportation guidelines and OSHA regulations. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access as well as specific programs designed for fleet management and logistics. * Knowledge of SAP a plus. * Ability to travel 25% of the time.
