Summary
AGCO is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our AGCO Parts Integration (API) team in Batavia, IL. The Data Analyst will mainly be responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, standardizing processes, and developing recommendations which support AGCO dealership planning and operations. Additionally, the Data Analyst will collaborate with a broad range of people such as sales, IT, marketing, supply chain, vendors, AGCO dealerships, and consultants to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
**Responsibilities of the Data Analyst:** * Work independently with AGCO dealerships and other AGCO Parts departments to assess the business requirements, match these requirements to objectives, and provide a recommendation to achieve the business goals * Manage and manipulate data in SQL, Excel, and Access * Design, build and maintain data collection repositories supporting the AGCO Parts Integration team (API) * Show initiative, drive, and most importantly be able to both maintain focus on the big picture while also demonstrating a commitment to the details * Handle challenging IT/data system, file manipulation and integration * Prioritize and determine feasibility of alternative solutions to current inventory management processes * Monitor key performance indicators and analyze performance data to increase effectiveness of dealership inventory management practices * Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual summaries of results, accomplishments and future plans **Special Projects** * Automation of current API reporting * Seasonality Enhancement – using trends in dealer sales data, crop conditions, type of crops planted/harvested, and/or machine population, identify a process to provide AGCO dealerships with improved stocking recommendations. * Over the Counter Fill Analysis – first create a process to better identify causes of missed fill and then provide a recommendation for process improvement * Market basket analysis – using dealer point of sale data, provide inventory stocking recommendations based on the likely of one part selling, that the second part is also sold in the same transaction (basket).
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications of the Data Analyst:** * A minimum of 2 years of experience using SQL in business applications * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access * A solid understanding of web technologies, relational databases and multi-tier applications **Preferred Qualifications of the Data Analyst:** * Previous experience using SAS, R, and other tools * PowerPoint presentation skills * Exposure to the concept of Continuous Improvement methodologies **Education of the Data Analyst:** * Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Information Technology or related discipline; MBA is preferred.
