Summary
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for Production Planning and Control of all work centers, including the Cornelia plant, the Business Continuity Plant in Athens and the Wire Mill in Somerville, NJ. This individual will have the support of a team of (4) Capacity Planners and a Co-Op as direct reports.
Responsibilities
* Act as a point of contact within Business Units and/or third parties for the coordination of all technical aspects of Supply Chain Management, promoting scheduling effectiveness, enforcing plan attainment and monitoring work order due date adherence. * Co-Owner of the Site Customer Service Metric, Unable to Reschedule (UTS), as well as Slow Moving or Obsolete Stock/Inventory (SLOB). * Owner of the Ambassador Program, enhancing the Internal Customer Experience, by providing projections and tracking for critical few vulnerable codes. * Development of code-level recovery plans and vulnerability reports. * Ensure compliance with regulations and Ethicon policies. * Exhibit positive leadership traits with ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization. * Interface with both internal and external customers, suppliers, vendors and other sites globally. * Coordinate and drive resolution of technical issues within the Supply Chain and coordinate issue resolution through project planning and escalation. * Establish new process procedures and practices using process excellence tools to improve operational performance. * Ensure supply chain support to new product introduction and new component introduction processes. * Develop and implement new ideas focused on continuous process improvement, cost containment and efficiency. * Assist the Plant Materials Manager in the preparation of the annual department budget. * Maintain site policies and procedures and material control systems in accordance with Global Supply Chain goals. * Serve as back up in the absence of the Plant Materials Manager. * Represent the department on various committees, work groups and employee forums.
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Engineering or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred. * A minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience is required. * A minimum of 4 years of planning experience is required. * A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is required. * Experience managing people within planning is preferred. * Materials management experience is required. * Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required. * Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures is required. * Healthcare industry experience is required. * Experience working in a regulatory environment is required. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. * Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions) is required. * Experience with Microsoft Access is preferred. * Experience with SQL is preferred. * Knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) is preferred. * Experience with SAP is preferred. * International experience is highly preferred. * Must have proven leadership skills. * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. * Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in multiple languages (English, Germany, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Hindi) is preferred. * The ability to collaborate with direct reports and all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment is required. * The ability to work overtime, off-shift hours and some holidays as needed by business is required. * This position will require up to 20% domestic and international travel, which will include frequent travel to local storage sites (Cornelia, Baldwin, Athens and Adams, GA) and occasional travel (twice per year) to Somerville, NJ for cycle counting.
