Summary
The Warranty Administrator is responsible or management of all warranty functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong work ethic, works well within a team environment, and is a master multi-tasker.
Responsibilities
* Process all warranty claims according to Manufacturers’ specifications, productively interfacing with our Customers, the Manufacturers, and our Sales, Parts and Service departments. * Assess warranty work orders for completeness, action and follow-through. * Log and track Standard and Extended warranty inspections, claims, credits, returns and all other required documentation. * Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation. * Verifies criteria required by OEM or distributor. * Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule. * Resubmits all rejected claims promptly or receives authorization to write them off. * Follows up on payment of outstanding claims. * Tracks warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed. * Arranges for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor, or to be scrapped. * Files and maintains all service records as required by the warrantor. * Keeps informed of all factory recalls and bulletins. * Assists with any clerical needs as directed by the fixed operations manager or the controller. * Post claims and generate report metrics on claims status. * Negotiate with all parties to resolve disputes. * Track manufacturers’: policies and procedures, retail reporting, campaigns and updates. * Follows up on payment of outstanding claims. * Fulfill all other responsibilities of warranty administration, as needed.
Ideal Candidate
* Three or more years of experience in transportation and logistics, shop and mechanical back ground. * Experience heavy equipment service (management), or equipment parts management. * You must be skilled in MS Office products (Excel, Word). * You will have a demonstrated, verifiable track record of strong communication, organizational and record-keeping skills. * Prepares, records, and submits warranty claims to the factory and/or distributor and reconciles them accordingly.
