Summary
The People Services Director leads the property level effort to deliver world class human resources services to all constituents. Directs the day to day operation of the People Services Department, ensuring that these functions reflect the mission of Canyon Ranch, as well as the company’s relevant strategies and guidelines.
Responsibilities
* The People Services Director is responsible for ensuring staff relations programs and efforts are managed in an effective manner. * Directs and leads the recruiting, employment, staff development, and retention functions at the property ensuring appropriate staffing & proficiency levels are maintained while the best possible candidates are selected and developed. * Acts as the property level advocate to ensure the company’s mission and operating strategy is reflected in the day to day Human Resources effort, frequently acting as advisor to property leaders. * Create a safety conscious work environment while overseeing the efforts to protect staff from injury
Ideal Candidate
* Five to ten years' of Human Resources experience with progressively increasing responsibility. Hospitality experience preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR, SPHR or equivalent certification preferred. * Ability to give hugs. Comfort finding frequent opportunities to show staff members that company leadership cares about their well-being in an authentic and professional way * Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. * Calm and approachable demeanor with excellent customer service and positive interpersonal skills, including ability to facilitate and mediate sensitive and/or confrontational matters and to provide coaching and counseling in a productive and effective manner.
