Summary
Directs the organization’s information technology project management functions for strategic projects. Serves as PMO chair to foster successful project management techniques across our organization. Leads a team of project managers focused on enterprise projects and application development.
Responsibilities
* Develops and maintains certain project plans and schedules to manage strategic projects from initiation through full implementation. Includes planning, budgeting, fostering business case process, resource modeling, resource sourcing, project process and documentation, team management, troubleshooting and problem resolution to ensure successful completion of projects on schedule and budget. * Working with the company’s Enterprise PMO (EPMO) develops project management techniques, skills, and tools. Embraces mentoring others in project management across enterprise creating a center of excellence for project management. Experience with agile, lean, ITIL and other approaches beneficial. * Develops strong relationships and maintains effective communication channels. Consults with others on development and execution of project plans. Defines practice and process for managing expectations. * Identify and propose new information technologies and systems to improve business processes and decision making. * Manages projects of various sizes. Presents project updates for cross functional meetings, as well as executive stakeholders. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of multi-team projects in a matrix managed and cross-functional organization. * Maintains high levels of partnership across organization, ensuring solutions orientated culture while fostering positive team environment.
Ideal Candidate
* PMP, MBA or equivalent experience. * Five or more years of related IT project leadership work experience. * Previous experience with IT strategy, integration, operations and consulting preferred. * Experience with leading IT project management center of excellence (PMO groups) required.
