Summary
Manages a production area to achieve plant and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- 1. Drive innovation and change by communicating on key business initiatives, promoting employee engagement, and acting as a lean deployment leader. - 2. Supervise, lead and coach a group of 20+ product builders and production coordinators while spending time on the production floor. Execute on-boarding and personal development strategies for direct reports. - 3. Meet quality objectives by ensuring compliance to quality systems and partner with Quality function as necessary. - 4. Promote a Quality culture with product builders. - 5. Meet daily production plans, proactively identify and resolve issues. - 6. Meet plant and department cost and budget objectives. - 7. Develop and communicate departmental goals in order to achieve effective core metric performance. - 8. Investigate root cause of non-conformances, identify and execute corrective actions by expected completion date. - 9. Work closely with cross-functional groups (i.e. engineering, calibration, and materials management, equipment engineering and quality) in order to achieve plant and departmental objectives. - 10. Provide leadership and consistently adhere to company policies and procedures. - 11. Encourage involvement and provide communication on key business initiatives (i.e. Lean, Problem Solving, Shared Leadership, Employee Involvement, etc.). - 12. Promote, monitor and ensure a safe work environment and adhere to all safety policies. - 13. Continuously track, monitor and report production performance. - 14. In accordance with company policies, manage leave situations such as worker's compensation, disability and FMLA leaves. - 15. Ensure integrity of data systems **Quality System Requirements:** In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable: - Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy. - Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelors degree required in related field. - Minimum 1-3 years technical professional experience & 1+ years of supervisor/management experience - Experience in a regulated environment preferred - People centered leadership capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset - Ability to be flexible and have good communication skills - Solid computer skills required including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
