Summary
Collect, review, and input documents for all location hourly employees. Perform output control processes to insure proper authorization and quality of payroll output. Have understanding of Time Clock software (E-Time) and related time collection procedures as input to weekly payroll runs for local population of 200-500 employees. Maintain employee files and payroll records. Provide customer service to internal employee base including responding to questions and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
* Collect all data and documentation related to location payroll, Payroll Authorization Forms, W-4 Forms, Meal Tickets, Product Purchases, Direct Deposit Forms. Ensure that all documentation is in valid format and properly authorized. * Print and deliver for review the daily time reports to production supervisors. Key enters changes to daily time sheets as necessary upon return from production review. Adjust Sick, Vacation, and Personal time as necessary to maintain accurate records. * Input data to ADP processing software for both file maintenance and hours as needed while meeting schedule deadlines to accomplish timely processing of payroll. * Update deduction information for tax purposes and/or for other deductions e.g. Meal Tickets, Food /Merchandise purchase, Benefits etc. * Maintain Payroll records for location as required by law and as necessary for reference purposes. * Assist in projects and initiatives as needed. Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and direction. * Acquire and exhibit extensive knowledge of the payroll software system and the time clock interface programs. Be able to efficiently navigate both systems to insure that processing is both timely and efficient. * Deal effectively with both employees and plant management to resolve any issues that arise related to individuals.
Ideal Candidate
* Associates Degree in Accounting, Business, or related is preferred, or 4 years work experience in an accounting related function. * Three to five years of payroll processing experience, preferably with ADP to include computer literacy and some customer service background
