Summary
Conduct review and analyses of quarterly and annual bonus compensation programs in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization's compensation practices. Make recommendations regarding salary grades or market rates for specific jobs. Assist in the development of incentive programs and the administration of performance review or merit-rating programs.
Responsibilities
* Plans, develops and partners with HR team to implement new and revised compensation programs, policies, procedures, in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. * Develop and/participate in compensation surveys to analyze company’s competitive position. * Review proposed salary adjustment for conformance to guidelines and recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related issues. * Communicate with HR Business Partners, finance and business leaders to ensure compensation plans enforce a pay-for-performance culture. * Review job descriptions; proposes job structure/hierarchy and salary structure. * Recommends company salary structure movements, salary increase budgets and FLSA exemptions. * Prepares special studies and makes recommendations on subjects such as, but not limited to, incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or stock options. * Analyzes cost containment strategies. * Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws governing both compensation and benefits practices. May administer both domestic and international programs. * Provides guidance to HR and line management on the creation job family and function matrices that provide broad overviews of differing roles and responsibilities that exist for each job level.
Ideal Candidate
* Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency. * Up to three years of progressive compensation and HRIS experience within a large professional services or corporate environment * Problem solving skills, strong mathematical and statistical skills; strong verbal and written communication skills, and presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills * Bachelor's degree in management or math from an accredited college/university * High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook * Able to deal with change and to proactively form productive working relationships
