Summary
Responsible for the planning and implementation of B2B marketing, demand generation, industry events, local sales team support, internal lead generation and measurement of all activity. Works with the SVP of B2B strategy and the Director of Content and Communications to manage, execute, and oversees all B2B marketing activities, trade shows, association events, and outbound call center campaigns. All efforts are measured and maximized to set appointments for our in-field sales professionals. Directs the marketing planning and execution of the B2B Marketing Managers, Internal Lead Gen Manger and Trade Show Manager. Coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels cross-functionally with Sales, Executive Strategist, Product Teams, Communications and B2C Marketing.
Responsibilities
* Partners with B2B leaders and sales leaders to develop territory marketing plans, support campaigns for events and new outbound campaigns that integrate direct mail, digital marketing and outbound call teams. * Works directly with sales leadership to ensure that ongoing plans and goals are aligned and delivered upon. * Works daily to understand and maximize the effectiveness of the sales opportunity funnel by maximizing contacts, appointments and designing programs to effectively move new prospects through the funnel. * Provides leadership and alignment in other marketing areas: website, content, product marketing, segmentation and strategy * Develops new demand generation execution capabilities and reports quarterly on opportunities for improvement utilizing new tactics or by optimizing current approaches. * Must be able to work daily inside CRM tools to build dashboards that automatically report on activity and results. * Responsible for working with our CRM team to maintain an ever growing, corporate marketing database management, including, segmentation, contact acquisition, data cleansing and reporting * Meets lead qualification and campaign ROI targets and regularly reports on key performance indicators * Responsible for leading the territory planning with our sales team. Leads the execution of the agreed upon territory marketing plans including the set up of events, speaking engagements, digital, and outbound call support plans. * Plan, budget, and oversee execution of large scale trade shows and corporate events * Provides on-going development, coaching and performance feedback for 4+ direct reports and a full team of 15 employees.
Ideal Candidate
* 5-10 years proven experience working with a distributed sales team and building strong / trusting relationships with counterpart sales teams * Must be a servant leader with an attitude of empowerment and support for teams * High-energy, proactive, creative, team-oriented, analytical individual and leader with a passion for building businesses * Experience developing marketing strategies and ROI-driven marketing campaigns in B2B organizations * 5 years Experience managing a B2B lead funnel and maximizing it’s output of new deals by continuously executing new strategies the engage the target prospects * Ability to translate data and insights into sales enabling programs * Demonstrated proficiency with multiple formats of demand generation, including, but not limited to email, website, PPC, SEO, social, direct mail, telemarketing, and PR * Experience with database management functions, including list management, cleansing, de-duplication, data validation, segmentation, tagging, custom report creation and import/export of CRM data * Experience with targeting, segmenting and profiling of prospects and customers * Highly knowledgeable of CRM and marketing automation platforms including Sugar CRM, Act-On and Marketo * Experience project managing teams in a matrixed organization and/or “managing without authority” **Years Experience Required:** * 10+ years of proven experience in business-to-business marketing (B2B), with at least 5 years experience in B2B marketing with proven success leading teams whose primary goal is demand generation and lead funnel management. Must have an understanding of digital marketing, experience supporting a distributed sales team, and the ability to manage an integrated marketing approach that includes, events, call center, and in-market sales team support (financial industry experience is a plus). **Education Requirement:** * BA/BS in Marketing
