Technical Proposal Writer

Axon's products protect life. Axon provides advanced Electronic Control Devices (ECDs) for use in the law enforcement, medical, military, corrections, professional security, and personal protection markets. Axon devices use proprietary technology to incapacitate dangerous, combative, or high-risk subjects who pose a risk to law enforcement officers, innocent citizens, or themselves in a manner that is generally recognized as a safer alternative to other uses of force.

Axon Enterprise is seeking an experienced Technical Proposal Writer to help improve our rapidly growing Proposals Team. This position will work as part of the Proposals team and will focus on developing impactful, easy-to-understand technical content to help describe the Axon Ecosystem and each of its components. You will be responsible for all aspects of technical writing and editing of proposals and other documents, to include RFP materials, proposals and other related documents. You must possess exceptional technical writing skills and organizational ability to develop new proposals or enhance existing proposals with inputs from subject matter experts to deliver a winning product.

* Establish and continuously improve processes to ensure accurate proposal response content * Establish and streamline communications across geographical locations and teams * Liaise with product teams to gather technical product information for written proposals * Perform technical editing and toning and ensure flow across all volumes of proposals * Participate and contribute in all proposal content reviews and support addressing comments where applicable to ensure key differentiators and win strategies are clearly defined * Develop documentation that aligns with the writing style and expectations of Axon's customers * Clearly translate technical concepts into language appropriate for the both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure successful proposal responses * Ensure compliance with proposal formatting, response to proposal instructions and requirements, and organizational proposal guidelines

**Skills Preferred** * Master's degree in Writing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field * Proficiency using Qvidian or other proposal management programs * Knowledge and experience using Salesforce * Experience with graphic design software a plus **Skills Required** * Bachelor's degree in Writing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field * Experience in proposal management * At least 5 years proposal or similar technical writing * At least 3 years technical writing experience (Software as a Service (SaaS) preferred) * Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills * Mastery of standard MS Office tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, etc.) to produce visually appealing and concise documents and diagrams * Rigorous attention to detail and excellent technical writing skills including grammar, spelling and punctuation * Strong comprehension skills, time management skills, organization, and prioritizing required * Ability to manage various competing deadlines * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
