Summary
Identifies, designs, and implements process and system improvements within Marketing, and between Marketing and other Operations and Support FBA’s, using Lean Six Sigma principles where applicable. Develops process and system maps for AS-IS and TO-BE core Marketing processes. Develops models and business rule maps for core TO-BE Marketing processes. Communicates with all impacted stakeholders. Manages projects for implementing process and system improvements.
Responsibilities
- Engages Marketing stakeholders to identify and document core Marketing processes and creates process and systems maps for AS-IS (existing) processes. - Develops understanding of Marketing vision, strategies, and current/future integration and growth plan. Based on Marketing vision and strategies, identifies process and system opportunities in the core Marketing processes (within Marketing and between Marketing and other FBA's). Collaborates with process owners and designs and implements process improvements (TO-BE processes). Collaborates with process owners and oversees improvements utilizing the Lean Six Sigma methodology. Coordinates system development/modifications with IT and system owners. Communicates with impacted stakeholders to solicit requirements and ensure stakeholders are informed of changes. - Engages with customers to improve Tesoro Marketing processes, systems, and customer interactions with a view to meeting and exceeding Tesoro's competition. Works with customers to resolve integration issues and actively tracks and resolves the issues internally. - Develops and maintains an understanding of roles, responsibilities, practices and guidelines, for core Marketing processes. - Designs, implements, and maintains performance measures and scorecards to measure process and system improvements.
Ideal Candidate
**Education and Experience:** - Minimum undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline. - Minimum 5 years' experience with designing and implementing process and system improvements, developing process maps and system diagrams, leading projects to implement new systems or processes and information systems (e.g. SAP) and business analysis required. - Understanding of B2B Web Portal systems and data interfaces (internal and external) required - Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified **Special Skills:** - A customer-focused personality with great interpersonal skills - Understanding of Marketing processes preferred - Understanding of existing IT systems used by Marketing or in place to support Marketing preferred - Experience with Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint - Understanding of economics, accounting, and trading principles a plus - Technical understanding of data interfaces and database concepts. - Experience with cloud computing services (e.g. PaaS, SaaS) or other marketing tools. - Marketing and/or Sales experience. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent time management and logical decision-making required.
