Summary
The Senior HR Business Partner, International will be responsible for managing international HR operations. This includes planning, designing, and executing HR programs that are aligned with business strategies. This position will execute the delivery of international HR programs and initiatives and provide proactive partnership to assist business leaders in achieving their business goals. This position will provide employee relations assistance for all international managers and employees and will also partner with other HR team members to provide employee relations assistance for US managers and staff. This position reports to the VP, Human Resources.
Responsibilities
* Manage the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating of the international HR function and performance. * Continually assess the competitiveness of all international programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets for purposes of attraction, motivation, development, and retention of employees. * Maintain knowledge of international HR policies, programs, and laws. Understand the differences between domestic and international policies and programs and work with the Legal department to coordinate the integration of international programs. * Participate in developing international compensation and benefits programs. * Manage broker relationships and contract renewal process, analyze and evaluate vendors and benefit plans, and develop employee communications for new programs. * Provide advice and counsel to managers across the company on policy and guideline interpretation. * Provide counsel on disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans for international and US employees as needed. * Work closely with outside counsel for international relocations and work visa processing while ensuring compliance with international immigration processing, laws and regulations. Lead employees through the international relocation process. * Report against HR metrics including but not limited to; onboarding, offboarding, HR activities, and employee engagement. * Shift focus between US and international projects as needed while the Company’s international footprint grows. * Perform additional duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills and Experience** * 10+ years HR experience with a focus on international HR. * Ability to exercise sound judgment, be able to plan, be well organized, have excellent oral and written communication skills, work well under pressure, take initiative, and be flexible and cooperative. The individual should also be accurate, timely, tactful and discrete. * Exceptional organizational skills and judgment, flexibility, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR work. * Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the company. * Ability to manage changing priorities, multiple deadlines and competing demands. * Ability to thrive, and preference for, dynamic, fast paced and high growth environments. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * When business needs require it, willingness to travel internationally. **Education** * A/B.S. degree, including courses in human resources management. * SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification (preferred, not required).
