Summary
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to understand and drive the value of the suite of Prime digital benefits. The role is responsible for being the central Prime member advocate for the Digital benefit providers such as Video and Music and also the digital benefit advocate on behalf of the Benefit providers within the central Prime organization. An ideal candidate is a self-starter with fundamental knowledge of all aspects of the marketing, business metrics and drivers, and experience working on high visible, cross team projects. He or she is a good relationship builder with internal and external partners, likes to understand a product through its entire lifecycle and has a high bar on customer experience. He or she also thinks scalable and a good track record of delivering results through strong program management skills, problem solving skills, process and systems knowledge and a passion for customer experience. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous and demanding work environment is critical to success in this role. The Sr. Product Manager will work with technical, business, marketing and product teams on a regular basis, so acumen and affinity in all disciplines is required.
Responsibilities
* Consulting on existing digital benefit feature roadmaps and strategy by representing and evangelizing the Prime customer experience and business goals to ensure the high bar we have for our Prime members * Drive effective teamwork, communication collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities * Identify, assess, track and mitigate risks at multiple levels * Proactively monitor program performance to identify, address and prevent potential issues. * Ensure regular program updates and reviews between benefit teams and Prime stakeholders and ensure benefit performance is tracked and discussed * Address barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholders * Interact with leadership, project stakeholders, international partners and multiple technical teams to define and deliver complex projects * Drive the shared roadmap and shared business goals for the success of the benefit including how Benefit providers can take advantage of new platform technologies and how Prime marketers can take advantage of new benefit features across channels. * Manage the execution of feature launch plans * Identify and create business requirements for product implementation, including integration into Prime member acquisition and membership marketing, customer experience and measurability of the business * Identify shared components and drive efficiency in the on-boarding of new features * Liaise with Prime system and business owners to ensure continuous subject matter expertise on our platform and business goals, and to establish long-term success of Prime member benefits
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of work experience as Product Manager * 2+ years experience managing a team of Product Managers * Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools * Analytical , problem solving and strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product portfolio road-map and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels * Ability to deal with ambiguity * 4-5 years experience in successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment; Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results; Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen (strong bias for action) * Implementation orientation; demonstrated ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements * Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple products across functional teams, including technical, engineering, marketing, design and merchandizing teams * Strong leader with excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with and influence all levels across Amazon * Proven analytical and quantitative skills and highly comfortable with numbers (includes ability to use tools such as Excel and Access); ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and feature concepts * Proven ability to make smart feature (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs; experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value * Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * BA/BS degree required **Prefrred Qualification:** * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SQL * MBA or equivalent degree * Retail Vendor Management experience * Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features, emphasis on multi-screen (desktop, mobile, wearables & the internet of things) * Experience operating in a global environment * Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
