Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Acquisitions Analyst sought to play a key role in the acquisitions of land for development of Urban Self-Storage, Retail and other niche sector opportunistic assets in select markets nationwide. This position will be responsible for evaluating, sourcing, pricing and negotiating transactions for various real estate accounts and strategies. The analyst will play a vital role in all aspects of the transactional process including initial modeling and investment analysis, offers, diligence, transaction management, financing and market research, as well as maintaining involvement in the post-acquisition transition and execution of the business plan. The role is suited for a self-starter who can manage projects from start to finish exercising sound judgment, but also execute specific direction where necessary. The ideal candidate will bring market knowledge, industry relationships and a history of transactions to the role. Responsibilities: * Staying up-to-date on market conditions and underwriting assumptions. * Continuously building and maintaining a network of people from which to source investment prospects. * Screening real estate investments for attractiveness in accordance with the firm's investment criteria and guidelines. * Financial modelling and presenting screened real estate investment opportunities to the firm's Managing Principals. * Conducting asset/market research and assisting with the due diligence process including, gathering market comps, zoning information, market / submarket research and demographic and economic data. * Assisting with the preparation of acquisition and development investment committee memoranda. * Compiling, reviewing and analyzing due diligence materials. * Create compelling and creative business plans for various new business opportunities. * Travel and tour subject properties and market to gain insight into positioning and competitive landscape
Ideal Candidate
* Prior experience (3+ years) in real estate acquisitions underwriting (preferably in multi-family,or storage, or ) and deal sourcing. * Fundamental real estate finance and valuation knowledge. * High motivation, a self-starter, enthusiastic, a phenomenal work ethic, and the ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team. * Willingness to travel at least 2-4 times per month. * Positive Attitude. * Able to handle multiple complicated tasks simultaneously. * Meticulously detail-oriented, extremely organized, excellent at time management, and working with minimal to no direction. * Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with attention to detail * Must be a master at Microsoft Excel (for Financial Modeling), PowerPoint, and Word. * Strong written, analytic and oral communication and interpersonal skills. * An existing large network of real estate professional contacts is preferred. * An undergraduate degree is required. MBA is preferred (Finance or Real Estate) **Candidate will be asked to complete an Excel assessment.**
