Summary
Fire TV remains the #1 best-selling streaming media player in the U.S. As we grow our product portfolio, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager who will drive software experiences across several product initiatives. In this role, you will help develop and drive the long term product vision, and you will have a high degree of ownership in critical features and user experiences. The role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely with UX, software engineering, device marketing, customer service, and executive partners. We need someone with a deep customer focus and ‘product sense’, combined with an established track record in consumer technology products, connected devices, and a real passion for TV and related entertainment spaces. You should be able to handle both the tactical tasks of delivering products, concurrently with strategic product planning for forward looking initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Develop the SW vision, strategy, customer experience and roadmap for product initiatives * Define product and business requirements to deliver on our strategy and vision * Build consensus for the product/feature vision and strategy both internally and with key external partners * Lead prioritization and trade-off decisions among customer experience, schedule, performance, and cost * Actively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
Ideal Candidate
* BS in Computer Science or other engineering field * MBA * Excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment * High attention to detail and comfortable handling multiple priorities simultaneously * Demonstrated results; delivered a major product from start to finish * Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap * Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in building innovative and user-friendly products **Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * 5+ years of relevant work experience in Product Management * 5+ years total experience in consumer electronics/software/wireless/Internet technologies * Experience with quantitative analysis (includes ability to use tools such as Excel and Access); Experience using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases.
