Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a Marketing Manager for immediate employment in the Denver, CO office. Individual should be able to apply knowledge of marketing and proposal principles to the coordination and production of quality, creative, and compelling proposals, presentations, and other business development/marketing materials in response to RFQs, RFPs, award submittals, etc. Participate in strategic planning as well as writing and editing. Must exhibit a high level of integrity and professionalism and display excellent communications (both oral and written) and time-management skills. Need to be able to work effectively in rapidly changing environment with multiple deadlines and demonstrate leadership skills and ability to moderate meetings and reviews. Must also be very detail oriented.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Business Line/Regional leadership and business development teams to support the development and resourcing and execution of marketing strategies to support business growth. The position will work with a talented and successful team of professional engineers, planners, environmentalists, marketing coordinators, and graphic artists who have a broad range of experience and capabilities. There are no direct reports to this position. * Advance the quality of deliverables to optimize bid capture; tracks opportunities and lead proposals through life cycle from pre-positioning and go/no go decision making and the capture and submittal phases * Manage development of presentations and printed qualification materials and proposal in response to formal and informal client solicitations, including analyzing RFP specifications and requirements; coordinating with capture manager and technical leads; developing compliance matrices, proposal outlines/templates, and proposal review and production schedules; assisting in the development of win themes and differentiators; and coordinating and leading proposal kick-off and review meetings * Update/track progress of assigned opportunities in Salesforce; ensuring data accuracy and understanding CRM system to use standard reports to manage and communicate pipeline * Write qualification based sections of the proposal including resumes, project descriptions, and other general information materials * Coordinate proposal production (including working with graphic designers to develop compliant proposal templates, covers, tabs, etc.) into a polished, client-ready package * Assist with production and quality checking of documents * Other marketing duties as required that support pre-positioning and proposals (trade shows, brochures, qualification submittals, award submittals, etc.) * Mentors marketing staff as needed * Special projects as directed
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Requirements** * 7+ years of proposal coordination experience * Experience in A-E industry including planning, engineering, and construction consulting business * Knowledge/experience of preparing complex proposals for public and private sector * Strong communication skills and business development * Strong organizational, writing/researching/editing, and time management skills in order to juggle multiple proposals/tasks with differing deadlines and consistently produce winning proposals * Strong leadership skills * Thorough understanding of AECOM’s structure, business lines and strategy, existing and prospective clients, business development practices and priorities. * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or InDesign **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related field
