Summary
The Associate Marketing Manager, Content Marketing will lead strategy and development of a content marketing strategy as well as a content strategy that will provide guidance and governance to the content developed. This role will also develop a wide variety of content that resonates with the key buyer/personas through various marketing pieces to fuel our online marketing efforts and improve customer awareness and engagement.
Responsibilities
* Brainstorm, storyboard, write, and edit original content, including but not limited to: * Website * Sales tools: product collateral, how-to guides, case studies, etc. * Catalog * Infographics * Videos * Email campaigns * Ad campaigns * Publications * Press Releases * Own, develop and manage our centralized content roadmap and editorial calendar -- exploring concepts with other team members and then working closely with team members to schedule and develop them * Determine what content is popular and then swiftly move to understand what content wins deals * Find, test and develop enhanced solutions that engage prospects and customer in the process of building rich and relevant content through a feedback loop or an innovative technology tool that will enable this feedback * Map content pieces to the appropriate stage of the customer buying journey, sales cycle and segments. * Frequently analyze content inventory to identify gaps and determine priority for both customer and sales team * Implement best practices for SEO in all content pieces to ensure they have high visibility on search engines * Be the subject matter expert in content marketing and evangelize/educate relevant teams on best practices. * Publish and curate unique content that will educate customers, especially as they conduct research before purchase decisions * Collaborate with designer, product managers, sales and service professionals, other marketing team members, internal stakeholders as well as external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content and language that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience. * Other projects or responsibilities as needed
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, English, Journalism, or related subject * 3-4 years of experience writing/developing content at company or agency. B2B experience preferred. * Excellent communicator and collaborator * Deeply web-savvy with experience in online marketing/advertising including ad copy, web copy, landing pages, email marketing, social media marketing, and premium downloadable content * Experience creating visual content (infographics, videos, etc.) * Expertise in grammar, syntax, and style * Native interest in the latest news, events, products and trends pertaining to online marketing/advertising * Strong research skills, including the ability stay on top of industry trends and execute industry intelligence gathering * Intermediate knowledge of the Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite * Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign) a plus. * Experience with Salesforce.com CRM and Marketing Automation tools a plus * Taking initiative and strong ability to execute with accountability * Excellent problem solving skills * Stong verbal and written communication skills * Strong strategy development skills * Innovative thinker * Strong decision making skills * Ability to identify problems and develop creative solutions * Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business * Keen focus on the customer and the customer experience * Minimal travel required, i.e. once a quarter
