Summary
The Business Development Executive will be generating sales for the Acxiom Impact division including email platform (ESP), email services, and multichannel agency services. This role will be quota-carrying, entrepreneurial, and will be almost wholly focused on large enterprise clients and well-known brands. The role will be a pure hunter role and will work on a sales team that is poised for significant growth over the next couple of years. This outside sales executive must be able to prospect through phone calls, emails, and on-site client visits. Often this role will be involved with multiple stake holders and we need a person who is collaborative, business development driven, and creative to win competitive deals. The Business Development Executive will need to be a self-starter and have an entrepreneurial mindset but will have access to a sales support team and work hand in hand with a dedicated sales leader to identify opportunities and plans to execute on those opportunities. This person will be expected to create a sales plan and defined target list with quarterly and annual sales expectations. This division of Acxiom has undergone significant positive change and we are seeking a high caliber individual to join this high-energy, high performing team.
Responsibilities
* Build Networks and Contacts - Actively work with internal Acxiom resources to identify contacts and drive new business as well as prospect new clients and develop new contacts through existing relationships * Be a Smart Consultant and Deal with Complexity – Work to coordinate the creation of highly complex solutions, be consultative, and have a high level of focus to understand and speak about solutions in an educated way * Create Presentations and Respond to RFPs – Partner with sales leadership, sales support, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality sales responses and presentations * Be Organized and Deal Well with Complexity – Manage a complex and ever-changing schedule and the demands of an entrepreneurial role. create order from a role with no existing structure * Enjoy Working with People – Have a good attitude and enjoy people as the demands of this role rely on consistent daily collaboration * Lead and Inspire Leadership - Inspire your peers to greatness. Demonstrate passion and creativity. Set high standards and lead in meeting them. Lead by example and showing you care * Travel to Key Prospective Clients –Meet with prospective clients in person and at select conferences
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree * 5+ years of experience in sales and business development with quantifiable positive results, preferably with an ESP, digital agency or data analytics services firm * Proven success working with C-Level buyers and complex solution engagements * Strong understanding of effective data-driven, one-to-one, omnichannel marketing programs and strategies * Outstanding relationship-building skills. The ability to connect and empathize with people * Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written and interpersonal * Outstanding presentation skills and proven ability to produce and deliver client and internal presentations * Superb professionalism and mature presence in all aspects of team and client relationship building * Strategic thought leadership - ability to structure and lead strategic conversations * Track record of expanding relationships and growing revenue with clients * Willingness to travel (50%+) for on-site prospect visits and business development * PACT - Passion, Accountability, Creativity, and Teamwork (a foundation of Acxiom's culture) What will set you apart: * Knowledge of Acxiom products
