Winton’s US Investment Solutions team is seeking to recruit a Vice President, Business Development for its San Francisco office. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to implement Winton’s sales and client relationship strategy and identify new business opportunities within the Wealth Management/RIA and Institutional channels throughout the Western United States and Canada.
- To exercise the highest standards of ethics and care in safeguarding the interests of Winton’s clients and protecting sensitive client and Company data at all times.
- Identify, develop and manage new business opportunities with prospective and existing clients within the Wealth Management /RIA and Institutional channels throughout the Western United States and Canada.
- Plan and execute road shows and educational events, including regular sales/investment update meetings with prospective and existing clients.
- Identify opportunities to raise awareness and promote Winton’s brand with key constituencies, and represent the Company at relevant industry meetings, seminars, awards and dinners, as appropriate.
- Manage client communications, and oversee the production of bespoke marketing material and client reports, as necessary, including responses to RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence questionnaires.
- Ensure world class client service, including timely and accurate responses to client inquiries and requests.
- At least three years’ of relevant experience with an asset management firm, hedge fund or investment bank.
- A strong academic record from a top college or university.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of basic statistics and modern portfolio theory.
- Ability to travel regularly (domestic and international travel).
- Ability to sell complex investment strategies to sophisticated investors.
- Ability to work collaboratively across the organization to advance the interests of the Company.
- Series 3, 7 & 63 (must hold or obtain promptly upon joining the Company).
