Summary
BHE has been a leader in providing custom research services and novel analytics platforms to life science companies for the past 21 years. BHE is expanding its offerings and is hiring a Business Development Associate for both custom services and products, including the industry leading healthcare analytics platform, Instant Health Data (IHD). The Business Development Associate will focus on both developing new accounts and expanding service offerings to existing customers through consultative selling.
Responsibilities
* Generate new business opportunities with top life science companies * Build, maintain and manage a sales pipeline working with senior business development team members to achieve sales objectives and revenue goals * Lead generation and sourcing * Position yourself as a key conduit between customers and BHE healthcare analytics experts * Prepare, present and coordinate product/project proposals, RFIs, RFPs and related activities * Coordinate sales efforts with sales support and delivery on key accounts, follow up activities and leads * Industry networking and maintenance of strategic relationships, attending industry events and conferences
Ideal Candidate
* Experience: Proven ability to sell to various teams in Fortune 500 companies (to top 20 life science companies a plus) * Track Record of Success: Consistently achieved or exceeded established objectives * Client Management: Possess excellent interpersonal skills with a desire to understand and meet client’s needs * Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills, with internal teams, prospects, and partners. * Creative Prospecting: Comfortable researching and understanding the relevant issues within the market and applying that knowledge to engage current clients and cold prospects. * Strategic: Able to contribute to strategic plans, negotiate contracts, develop new strategic partnerships and work to strengthen relationships with existing customers. **Education and Experience:** * BS/BA in business, technology, or related fields (life science background is preferable but not necessary) * 2-5 years of business development and sales experience in the life sciences industry (experience selling consulting services and data analytics products a plus) * Willingness to travel
