Summary
This position will analyze and interpret data in order to support the objectives of the Human Resources department and our business partners. The HR Business Analyst will compile reports, analyze and synthesize data in order to communicate key HR metrics to stakeholders in HR and other stakeholders at Zulily/QVC. They will also analyze data in order to identify areas of concern or best practices for specialists to review in more detail. This will require combining data from all HR systems to produce a holistic view of our associates and HR programs that affect them.
Responsibilities
* Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Work closely with business owners to understand business challenges and provide data/analysis for better decision making * Identify and interprets trends and patterns in datasets from various HR and business systems to locate influences. Identify key drivers and use results to recommend changes and identify areas for improvement. * Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. * Provide consultation and participates on cross-functional teams to address business issues. May lead cross-function teams on projects. * Create specifications for custom reports and dashboards based on business needs and required or available data elements to track business success. Directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. * Gathers information and data specifics to meet various report requirements; provide quantitative analysis for data sets * Provide support for existing reports and resolves issues with reports as identified by users * Recommend establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information
Ideal Candidate
* 4-5 years’ experience in quantitative field math, finance, statistics, engineering * Bachelors in quantitative field (Math, Finance, Statistics Business, Economics * Strong skills in the following analytics tools: Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python * Extremely strong analytical skills and mindset; must be able to analyze large or abstract data sets and formulate actionable conclusions * Excellent ability to accurately interpret qualitative and quantitative data * Knowledge of and experience with HRIS and reporting modules * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Access, Outlook; * Demonstrated ability to interface with both internal and external business partners at every level of the organization and act as liaison when needed * Excellent organization skills and meticulous attention to detail; process oriented * Excellent communication skills, written and oral, and interpersonal skills
