Summary
The Payroll Analyst will work under the direction of the Payroll Manager in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. This position will serve as the Payroll Team’s primary resource regarding system configuration and operation, working closely with Zillow’s Corporate Applications team and third party service providers
Responsibilities
\ * Overseeing the configuration and operation of Workday Payroll, including setup of new pay codes and business processes * Analysis of payroll results during semi-monthly payroll processes * Creating EIBs and managing data loads into Workday * Working with third party service contractors to resolve time sensitive Workday configuration and integration issues * Assisting with future system implementations, integrations and upgrades * Creating ad-hoc Workday reports for auditing scheduled and off-cycle payrolls * Supporting the Accounting team as needed * Working closely with the Corporate Applications team to implement system updates and changes to application configuration * Analysis of payroll time and attendance system regarding time off accruals, overtime calculations, and retroactive pay
Ideal Candidate
* Motivated to produce high quality work and participant in a collaborative team environment * Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines * Extensive knowledge of Workday HR and Payroll applications, including experience with configuration and ad hoc reporting * Deep knowledge of payroll and business fundamentals including federal and state tax regulations, accounting principles, and Sarbanes Oxley * Skilled at efficiently analyzing large amounts of data and making decisions using this information * Ability to design and implement process improvements to work within or around system limitations; ability to think outside of the box * Strong communication skills and customer-centric approach toward customer service * Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge including pivot tables and v-lookups * Workday Report Writing skills necessary; Workday Certification preferred
