Senior Accountant

SmartBear is hiring a Senior Accountant to be an integral part of the company’s revenue growth on a globally structured Corporate Accounting team. As a Senior Accountant you will assist the team with key financial activities, processes, and support various ad-hoc requests. This position is a great opportunity to learn and experience US and International Accounting as it relates to the software industry. SmartBear has played a role in the Uber you ordered, the item you posted on Ebay, the jetBlue flight you purchased and other technology and apps your use on a daily basis.

* Assist in monthly close process, including preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations * Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures * Coordinate and manage payroll and payroll reporting process * Partner with FP&A to support internal measurement reporting * Assist with financial and tax audits for a global business * Coordinate accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team and/or with other departments. * Perform other duties and provide ad hoc reporting

* Bachelor or Master degree in related field of Accounting and/or Finance * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred * Public accounting experience preferred and/or minimum 4 years of accounting experience * Moderate technical accounting skills and knowledgeable of US accounting standards * Excellent communication skills and proficient in documenting accounting positions * Strong analytical, research skills, and problem-solving skills
