Summary
Consistent with the Christian mission and vision of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, the Director of Donor Communications & Stewardship, under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, will provide leadership to the Association’s donor communications, cultivation strategies and stewardship program. S/He will design and implement a donor cultivation and stewardship program that engages all levels of givers including annual, capital and endowment givers.
Responsibilities
* Support the YMCA mission and models the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility * Ensure outstanding customer/member service * Implement an impact tour program to raise awareness of the Y as a leading charity and connect donors directly with the people and programs their gifts are supporting – this includes logistical planning, scheduling, staff tour preparation/training, and creativity to ensure a fun and impactful tour experience * Assist in connecting prospects and donors to meaningful volunteer engagement opportunities * Support major donor events and trainings helping with event coordination & communications, scripts, volunteer support and presentations * Ensure donors receive timely reports on the use and impact of their gifts through written reports, donor meetings, impact tours and thank you events * Act as a liaison and specialist to center development directors to assist them in developing individualized center-based stewardship plans * Collaborate with philanthropy and marketing teams in the implementation of a strategic prospect/donor communications plan including written communication, acknowledgement letters, donor publications, e-blasts, year-end reminders, stewardship reports, gift acknowledgments, social media and newsletter updates * Work with the Philanthropy Services Director to provide input for processes regarding acknowledgment, recognition, on-going communications and continued cultivation of past and current major donors to enhance their relationship with the YMCA and increase the likelihood of continued contributions; ensure all donor relations and stewardship activities are properly tracked in Raisers Edge * Take on assignments for special projects in areas of priority for the Association
Ideal Candidate
* Passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA * An enthusiastic personality with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, members and participants to create a culture of service within our Centers * Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community * Must present a professional image and possess conflict resolution skills, and demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, versatility, and independent thinking * Must be highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks * Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software programs, as well as the ability to use most office equipment is required * Experience with basic graphic design, video development and photo management preferred * Ability to develop and maintain relationships * Ability to travel to multiple locations and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends * Minimum 21 years of age * High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or comparable YMCA experience preferred * Financial development experience with proven ability and demonstrable success **Certifications Required:** Before start of 1st shift: * Keys to Success training * Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness training * YMCA of Middle Tennessee Safety training * Information Security Awareness training Within 30 days of hire: * Raisers Edge Training Within 60 days of hire: * Attend Introduction to Listen First

$1,922 - 2,403 per pay period (24 pay periods per year) Depending on Experience.
