Summary
Writer-Producers at E! are tasked with concepting, project managing and producing creative and promotional content and advertising that markets and supports the network and its properties across all broadcast and media platforms. Writer- Producers are assigned projects and campaigns that include creative content ranging from unscripted / scripted series, topical specials, movies, marketing initiatives, original programming, special shoots, integrated marketing, live events and network image campaigns.
Responsibilities
* Conceive, develop and produce breakthrough creative promos, advertising and promotional content * Collaborate with creative supervisors, Preditors and network colleagues to build and maintain a highly functional creative department * Manage multiple creative assignments in a hands-on fashion at all stages of development, from project start through post * Manage work flow and project deadlines with creative supervisor and PM * Project manage and schedule creative with Preditors * Research new promo techniques, new and current standards in music, editorial, storytelling, graphic design and marketing * Write scripts, copy runs, tag lines, title development, etc. * Create creative pitch decks, boards and reference * Screen and log show content * Source footage, music, graphics, packaging, imagery and all other creative elements * Work closely with On Air Design department to convey graphics needs for projects * Direct talent (voice-over, show talent, shoots, etc.) * Oversee inside and out-of-house audio and edit sessions * Collaborate with Creative director and PM to manage all stages of production process including tagging spots, and prep for air * Contribute to On-Air Promotion database and perform other administrative duties * Supervise, technically and creatively, all work through post production and delivery * Other duties and projects as assigned and needed
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * Minimum 3 years of network or cable on air promotion, advertising, or creative agency experience **Eligibility Requirements:** * Willingness to work in Los Angeles, CA and Universal City, CA * Must be able to provide work samples, including reel + writing samples and any other applicable creative work * Must be willing to travel * Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice when necessary * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation * Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States * Must be 18 years or older * Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program **Desired Characteristics** * Bachelor’s degree strongly desired. * Must be a self-starter * Must be a true creative thinker, able to generate ideas and executions for conceptual and clip-driven spots and to consistently develop multiple creative executional approaches for all projects * Must be an exceptional writer * Must understand creative strategy and develop work and production pipelines that fulfill project goals * Proven skills and experience developing, producing and directing shoot projects. * Demonstrate knowledge of new and current editing, filmmaking, production styles, music and sound design techniques * Strong sound and visual design/graphic aesthetics. * Knowledge of design applications like Photoshop and After Effects a plus. * Proven ability to collaborate with designers, editors, sound and music technicians * Ability to receive and incorporate creative notes at all phases of a project * Clear presentation skills, from simple written scripts and electronic communications to more formal presentations * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment * Detail oriented (attention to house number, library and promo scheduling systems, tag info, spelling, due dates etc.) * Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Interest and awareness of pop culture and entertainment (TV, Music, Film, Fashion, Art, etc.) * Assertive, enthusiastic and highly motivated * Avid and graphics skills are a plus.
