Job Posting Details
About 2K
Headquartered just north of San Francisco, with offices spanning the globe across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, 2K is a videogame publisher managing some of the most creative, respected and premium brands in games today.
Summary
2K is looking for a graphics professional to create, design, and fully execute assets that will capture attention in various social media channels as well as being innovative enough to keep an eye on new opportunities. You’ll work collaboratively with key stakeholders both internally and with external studios to deliver stunning social content. You’ll craft engaging infographics, animated GIFs and always keep an eye on new graphic design areas to explore.
Responsibilities
Work with the Senior Editor and Community Managers in the conception and creation of content for the various 2K game brands and multiple social media channels. The winning candidate will have the ability to look at the bigger picture and help strategize, assist in delivering engaging social media campaigns and, on a dime, nimbly craft fun, reactionary content (for example, creating spot-on animated GIFs) in response to what is happening in real-time. You will be coordinating across multiple departments and with outside developers, so organizational and communications skills are an absolute must.
Ideal Candidate
* Associate's degree (A.A.) or at least three years of relevant work experience * Excellent design skills. Must have a portfolio of relevant work (graphics, short form videos, animated GIFs, etc.) ideally created for a professional game publisher or developer * Adept in Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator and other relevant programs, or equivalents * Excellent written and communication skills * Familiarity with professional / commercial use of social media platforms along with supporting applications * Proficient in using PowerPoint / Excel / Word * Knowledge and play experience of recent and past 2K titles is a plus * Knowledge and experience with a variety of console, PC, and tablet game titles is a plus * Video editing and any programming skills are not required, but are a huge plus!
