Summary
Virool is seeking a results-oriented VP of Marketing who will be a key member of the senior management team. On course for rapid growth, we are looking for a high-energy leader with a demonstrated history of scaling a team, a brand and a bottom line in a B2B marketing capacity. You will develop and drive a comprehensive global marketing plan and strategic vision for the company. This seasoned marketing expert will be responsible for building out a world-class marketing team in the next 6-12 months and managing the vision, strategy and execution of the department. **Goals:** * Long-term vision. Define and own the strategy for global brand growth from user acquisition to retention, and ensure that results are consistent with the company’s strategic objectives. * World-class motivator. Empower the Virool team to up-level their results and stretch for more learning, impact and success. * Executive collaborator. Work closely with marketing, product, sales and senior leadership across the company to set clear objectives for overall strategy and specific programs. * People optimizer. Work with marketing leadership team to eliminate workflow inefficiency and define true workload capacity. Uncover morale opportunities and challenges and provide solid guidance regarding shifting priorities, adjusting timelines, and/or hiring additional support
Responsibilities
* Build your dream team: Virool already has an exceptional marketing team in place that is poised for rapid growth in 2016. Build out your team to grow and retain our audience across owned, earned, and paid media channels, both online and offline. * Drive our growth: Lead all growth efforts and strategies, including analysis around pricing, marketing opportunities, funnel metrics, business development and partnerships and market opportunities * Define the strategy: As a member of the Virool leadership team, you’ll collaborating on the strategic vision of the company, partnering with sales and product teams to help identify product enhancements and features that will be instrumental in Virool’s branding and marketing. * Create our demand: Own end-to-end acquisition campaigns launch process for all growth endeavors (e.g., ideation, creative development, targeting, execution, measurement) * Set budgets: Implement and manage a marketing budget that is aligned to your go-to-market strategy and supports the financial goals of the company. * Iterate for performance: Improve use of data and analytics within the organization to gain stronger consumer insights and targeted marketing efforts. * Determine ROI: Analyze and disseminate results, evaluating your team’s effectiveness and ROI across all marketing programs. * Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS required, MBA a plus. * Veteran in hands-on management of functions that included combinations of the following: digital and offline media, retention, CRM, marketing automation, analytics, lifecycle marketing, marketplace efficiency, production and project management. * Exceptional analytical skill set and experience using analytics to drive growth * Significant experience with Paid Social, SEM, and other advertising channels * Experience executing forward-thinking SEO strategies to drive organic growth * Comfortable running experiments and tests, specifically A/B and multivariate testing, and ability to determine the proper success metrics * 10+ years of relevant experience as a marketing professional showing upward growth to the VP or Senior Director level, primarily in the B2B internet space with a career mix of start-ups and highly recognized brands. * Must be someone who is really excited by a challenge. You enjoy the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a small company, you’ve been through the experience of scaling up an enterprise to new sizes and revenues, and you’re ready to do it again. You thrive in a dynamic (i.e. “startup”) environment.
