Sr. Front End Engineer

**Bleacher Report, 2nd largest sports website and home of the most minutes/users among sports apps in the U.S. (comScore), is seeking a Sr. Front End Engineer.** Imagine designing and creating services that power the 2nd largest digital destination of real-time event coverage. Tackling hard problems while collaborating with smart people in an awesome office environment. Sharing your technical expertise while gaining exposure to the latest technologies.

* Produce lean, semantic markup and CSS based on mock-ups from a visual designer * Write efficient and re-usable JavaScript components * Work with other software engineers to integrate your layout and styling code with Rails and JavaScript-based templating frameworks * Optimize and refactor existing code to improve end-user experience and performance * Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems (don't worry we don't support IE6!) * Participate in design and code reviews

**Experience you need...** * Expert knowledge of cross browser markup including HTML5 and CSS3 * Experience with native JavaScript, not just jQuery (although we love jQuery) * Familiarity with version control systems in a team-based environment (Git is what we use) * Comfortable integrating with server-side technologies * Experience with AJAX/JSON/JSONP * You've developed interesting things and can show them off (we love seeing Github profiles) * Communication skills and the proven ability to work out solutions to problems with others * Comfortable with fast-paced, iterative design cycles * Honesty, friendly attitude, and good sense of humor **Bonus points for...** * Familiarity with Rails * Experience with mobile and responsive design * Exposure to Sass or LESS * Knowledge of JavaScript MVC frameworks like Backbone.js Bleacher Report offers a fast-paced, energetic and agile environment that genuinely values and promotes each person’s unique talents.
